Inside the quiet morning,
an eager heart pumps the new life
that hope has poured thru his soul.
Outside the embracing morning,
lies a box of endless time,
ripe with pulsing promise.
In the middle of the inside and the outside
lives Being with a name,
a changing name reshaped by
simple surrender,
constant momentum,
startling eagerness,
prudent hesitation,
and a small, unshakable,
promise to love.
Does the Red Tail love the wind?
Does the White Tail love the forest?
Does the two-legged love the land?
As surely as these are so,
does this two legged,
in constant change,
hold an unshakable promise to love.
